Review

On to the Technical side, Uday Ananthan had directed the 2007 film, Pranayakalam and ‘Mrityunjayam’, the fourth segment of the Malayalam anthology film Kerala Cafe. this is his third directional venture. the trio Balakrishnan, Nandini Valsan, and Uday Ananthan had written the movie, this had many lagging moments especially in the latter half but it effects the movie a lot.
White is shot almost in Budapest and London, the beautiful city is well captured and visualized by Amarjeet Singh, who had done many short films and documentary in international languages. the songs were nice especially the one sang by Vijay Yesudas “Eriyumoru Venalil”, the scores were also apt to the movie. Editing was also good. all together Uday Ananthan had neatly executed this romantic flick.
On to the Performance, Megastar Mammootty as Prakash Roy,a middle-aged banker living in London, As usual, performed well. Huma Qureshi as Roshni Menon also performed neatly but in some occasion, she seems to be struggling to deliver. this is her Dubutanal movie in Malayalam.
Shankar Ramakrishnan as Anwar, boss of Roshini performed well.Siddique as Sunnichayan, Sunil Sukhada, KPAC Lalitha, Sona Nair also supported well with their cameo characters.

in this 122 mins movie, the movie starts with the Introduction of leading characters and how they got to met up, followed by a slow-paced second half with a predictable ending.

Bottom Line: If the lag-ness in the second half had been removed the movie could have been a better one. PS: Still the movie is enjoyable.

Pros

  • The performance of Mammootty.
  • Cinematography and BGM.

Cons

  • Screenplay
  • A lagging second half with a predictable climax.

Verdict: An Average Romantic movie which could be enjoyable by both friends and family.
