Unnikkuttan (Dileep) is a prisoner in Kerala Central jail. The thoughts and friendship of the members imprisoned in the jail form the plot of the movie. The prisoners feel guilty of their crimes and repent for the same. They try to find happiness in every possible way they can. The resulting incidents are plotted in a humorous way in the movie.

On to the Technical side, Sundardas style of making haven’t changed from his earlier movies, the direction seems nice but the storyline and screenplay could have been made a good one, The story is a cliched one and the screenplay too lags a lot. Benny P Nayarambalam’s penned stuff havn’t anything new to give away either than some silly comedies.

Alagappan N, who is well known for Malayalam movies like Nandhanam, Chotta Mumbai, Pattam pole etc… have take care of Camera department. He had done a good job by giving away beautiful Visuals. Promo song “Police aanu tharam” song has been composed by Nadirshah and all other songs and background score is composed by Duo Benny-Ignatius. Editing is done by John Kutty.

On to the Performance, Dileep as Unnikuttan, a prisoner of central jail was nice but compared to his earlier movies, it was disappointed. Vedhika as Radhika, unnikuttan’s lover was looking beautiful and her performance were also good.

Siddique as Unnikuttan’s father and Vinaya Prasad as mother was really good even though they had only few time onscreen. Renji Panicker as jail warden Gopu done a neat role. Harish and Sharafudheen played as Jail mates, along with them kailash, Tesni Khan, Veena Nair, Shajon, Guiness Pakru, Pradeep kottayam, Vinaya prasad also supported well. Aju Varghese also done a small role as a friend of Unnikuttan, he had only small screen presence.

Its true that Aju Varghese and Sharafudheen hasn’t been utilised well. their screen presence were really less.

In this 152 mins movie, the starting was nice, but from there the movie havn’t reached upto the mark, most of the comedies also didnt workout well. The movie has nothing much to give away but is a one time watchable.

Bottom Line: A fun filled movie which is a one time enjoyable.

PS: don’t expect anything new from it and also a 2 Countries or King Lair, but you won’t be disappointed watching it.

  • Cinematography.
  • Direction.

  • Cliched storyline.
  • Lagging in the second half.
