‘Mudhugauv’ directed by debutant Vipin Das features Suresh Gopi’s son Gokul Suresh and Vijaykumar’s daughter Arthana Vijaykumar in the lead roles. ‘Mudhugauv’ is narrated through three different tracks. The romance between Engineering college student played by Gokul and Fine Arts college student played by Arthana forms the first track. Actor-producer Vijay Babu does the villain, playing a character who is a fan of “Rambo”. This is the second track. There is a yet another track which features the characters played by Soubin and Harish. Confluence of these three tracks completes the story. how all of these gets to know each other for some reasons forms the remaining part of the story.

Mudhugauv is a simple entertainer that narrates a small but entertaining story of an Engineering student and his love. On to the Technical Side, the director Vipin Das has been successful in scripting and directing the movie, the Cinematography were nice and the edits were also good. Rahul Raj needs a special mention here for making wonderful background score especially the usage of old song ‘Devadoothar Paadi’ in the BGM.

On to the Performance, Gokul Suresh as Bharath, a funny guy who needs to kiss someone when he gets tensed, this character was done neatly by him and he was looking so cute. Keerthana as Ganga were okay but her dialogue presentation seems some dramatic touch in some occasions. Vijay Babu as Rambo was really awesome. the villain role was very safe in his hands. Soubin and Harish as Kumari and Puthari were really funny, Baiju, Sunil Sukhada, Santhosh Keezhatoor and Abu Saleem Supported well. the Character Disney played by Disney James were notable and performed well. The 120mins movie consists of a fully entertaining first half with a twisty interval punch followed by a much better second half with an apt climax.

Bottom Line: A simple comedy Entertainer worth watching with your family and friends. PS: go and watch without any expectations.

  • Background Music was really nice.
  • the combination scene of Soubin and Harish.
  • the direction was nice.

  • the ending could have been made better.
  • some dialogue delivery of leads were too dramatic.
