The movie is said to be raw and realistic, narrated in the backdrop of Kammatipaadam, an old place in Kochi that was once the heart of the city. However, due to the city’s development, the area is now divided into North Giri Nagar, Kumaranashan Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Jawahar Nagar.

On to the Technical Side, P. Balachandran’s script were a bit differently narrated but nice. National Award Winner Madhu Ambat is the man behind brilliant Visualization,  Cinematography were really super. Music Department is the another Highlight of the movie done by both John P. Varkey
Actor Vinayakan. the tracks of this film are from a bygone era. there’s such nostalgia in the songs, Background Score was awesome and brilliantly composed which were so much apt to each of the scenes. along with all these Rajeev Ravi’s style of Making were both different and wonderful.

On to the Performance, Dulquer Salman as Krishnan were really awesome. this is his one of the career best performance. he comes in three getups from age 10 to 50, as a teenager, young and in salt and pepper style. Vinayakan as Ganga, a childhood friend of Krishna were really convincing and the character was safe in his hands, he was the best among everyone. surely this is his best performance till date. the one acted as Balu Chetten really deserves some applause. shine tom chako and Vinay fort done a neat performance.
Shaun Romy as Anitha, a sweet cute lover of Krishnan were ok with her while Amalda Liz as Rosamma, a much bold character also was nice. Soubin Shahir camed in a guest appearance and captured the audiance without utterting a single word. Alancier, Manikandan, P Balachandran and Suraj, Muthumani and Anjali Aneesh supported well. Geethu Mohandas, the casting director needs a special mention here, surely  this will be the best casting ever happend in mlayalam cinema.
The 180 mins movie consists of an action-packed first half followed by a much thrilling but slow paced second half with an apt climax.

Bottom Line: An action thriller which moves in slow pace, along with romance and emotions. beyond a commercial movie, Kammatipaadam is rich in Artistic Values.

  • The performance of Vinayakan and Dulquer Salman.
  • Direction and BGM.
  • Cinematography

  • too lengthy.
  • slow paced thriller.

Verdict: A good action packed mystery thriller.

Recommendation: Yes, worth watching for all movie lovers.
