Darwinte Parinamam Review:

Darvinte Parinamam is story of revenge filled with fun elements. The movie is directed by Jijo Antony himself where as scripted jointly with Manoj Narayanan and is  produced under the banner of August Cinema by Prithviraj, Shaji Nadesan, Santhosh Sivan, and Arya.  The cinematography is done by Abhinandhan Ramanujam and music by Sankar Sharma.

The Trailer of much Awaited Darwinte Parinamam had done a great impact on audiance

Prithviraj Sukumaran as Anil Anto were simply superb and Chandini Sreedharan as Mrs. Anto done a neat job. Chemban Vinod Jose played the Character Gorilla Darwin who is a well Known Don in the city and the performance were mind blowing and surely this is one of his Career best performance .
Soubin Shahir were really funny as Ville who is an Die hard Vijay fan and also a movie lover who wishes to act in a movie. Shammi Thilakan Played as Ayappan who is a Kidnapping Specialist Sabu Thrikida as SI Jakson.
Along with them Balu Varghese, Mamukkoya, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Jaffer Idukki, Harish Peruman, and Sethu lakshmiyamma also been the part of the movie.

‘Darwinte Parinamam’ takes a journey through the life of a commoner. The movie is a simple, comedy entertainer presented in a different style. Anil Anto (Prithviraj) and his wife Amala (‘KL10 Pathu’ fame Chandni) have to shift to Kochi from Kottarakkara at a particular circumstance. Anil works in the Cable TV office and Amala works in a press. There they come across Darwin (Chemban Vinod Jose) who thinks that Kochi is in his hands. The resulting humorous incidents knit the rest of the story.

Jijo Anthony after ‘Konthyum Poonoolum’ which had been a big disaster in Box office is back with an Prithviraj Starrer Crime-Comic Thriller but unfortunately fails again to impress and meets the expectation level of the Audience.

After an excellent starting, the movie goes in a very slow paced manner towards the interval even though the interval punch were okay but the second half were filled with too much of unwanted commercial mass masala elements which made the Audience feel Bored.

Coming on to the Technical Side, An Average execution of a screenplay that too with a Cliched Story Line and lot an lots of Unwanted lagging scenes, jiju Anthony failed to make this an Average Flick. DOP and BGM were the really good and they need special applause.

Bottom Line: If the lengthy melodramas in the first half and those over masala elements in the second half had been removed, Darvinte Parinamam would have worked wonderfully as an Above Average Flick.

  • Prithviraj’s Performance.
  • Cheban Vinod’s career Best Perfomance.
  • Dop and BGM were nice.

  • Screenplay fails in many sequences and let the audience feel bored.
  • Making side of the movie stands average.

Verdict: An Average Crime Comic genre film with Superb performance but Unsatisfied Making.

Thirdshows Rating: 2.5/5.
