Charlie Review: A feel good romantic movie

It have been a long time waiting for this day. Yeah, After long time, the must awaited movie of the year, Charlie had released all over Kerala today. With a lot of Expectation I got up early morning and went to watch the movie, the theatre were fully covered with fans and their whistles.

Charlie is a mild movie which makes us laugh, think and more over a flick that gives us an inner happiness.

The movie discusses about a crazy guy Charlie who flies away like a winter bird and a modern girl Tessa.

The Technical aspects are so impressive especially the Cinematography of Jomon made the movie so rich in beautiful visuals. Songs by Gopi Sundar were nice and the BGM were really good.

The first half were busy showing the life of Tessa and all about chasing the Story and its Author by Tessa and as a result it lags a bit in some scenes, but the second half were much more better which starts with a fight scene and followed by simple story lined fun, Romance and all.

The movie starts with the life of a beautiful modern girl Tessa played By Parvathi, once she migrates to Kochi and finds a uncompleted hand written story book from her new home and gets attached to the story and its author. Soon she starts to find the remaining story of that and also starts searching for the author and followed by some fun filled romantic plot.

On to the Casting, Dulquer Salman as Charlie acted really well especially on the mid of second half, he proved his caliber once again. Parvathi done a neat job executing this role of modern beautiful young lady and have more screen presence than anyone. Aparna Gopinath, Soubin Shahir and Tovino done a simple yet nice roles. Nedumudi Venu, Kalpana, Cheban Vinod done their role in a really good manner and special kudos for it. Nasar, Renji panicker, Neeraj also supported well.

Ps: The secret of room no. 66 will surely make you surprise.

Bottomline: Charlie is a above average movie that portrays love and also gives us a happy feeling.

  • Direction and Cinematography
  • Performance of Dulquer Salman.

  • First Haf could have been made more interesting.
  • Love sequence could have been  more.

Verdict: A simple romantic feel Good Movie.

Thirdshows Rating:3/5.

  1. Just to ask who is this actress you mentioning here as Parvathy Nair? Couple of days ago she said that her name is Parvathy not Parvathy Menon and here you are using Parvathy Nair :)
