Adi Kapyare Kootamani is a ‘hostel’ comedy entertainer. The movie doesn’t have a strong story line but director did a excellent job by making it a 2.30 hour long entertainer.
The movie directed by debutant John Varghese under the banner of Friday Film House and Carnival Motion Pictures. Cinematography by Ajay David Kachappilly was good. The comedy flick penned by John Varghese and Abhilash S Nair.
Dhyaan did act pretty well this time than ‘Kunjiramayanam’. Aju Varghese and Neeraj who stole the show along with support from Vineeth Mohan. Namitha did her part perfect. Mukesh and Biju Kuttan were two of the film’s biggest positives. All other actors had small roles to play but did it pretty well.
The story revolves around a bunch of college students living in a boy’s hostel. The story unfolds over a period of four days in the hostel. Problems begin when a young woman (Namitha Pramod) enters the life of those students. Dyann plays the central character Bhanu. Aju plays the role of Bruno and Neeraj is Remo. They play Bhanu’s classmates and all the three are in the same hostel. Mukesh does a priest and the warden of the boy’s hostel.
Both the halves have been paced well, and it will not make the audiences bored even for a second. At the end of the movie, director has succeeded in adding a strong twist which will impress all kinds of audiences.
Shaan Rahman handled the music department. Music was the biggest positive of the film and the BGM was rocking . The ending sequence Background score gave me chills. Songs were surprisingly good. It blended with the film’s nature.
Verdict: Entertaining…Festive movie for this Christmas season.
